It just doesn’t make a lot of sense for Trump to let him hang around forever. Trump is free to fire him, so why doesn’t Trump do it? Even if Rosenstein wasn’t involved in this alleged plot, he is likely a part of leaks.

Not sure. He was involved in a coup attempt for fricks sake. He should be rotting in a prison cell right now

I remember when the Hot Rod stuff broke. Next thing you knew Trump took him to a police convention in Orlando (pic below is him boarding the plane). Think he got the message?

I get that he oversees Mueller, but is that really a good thing for Trump? Maybe the optics would be bad.

I'll be surprised if Friday 2/22 isn't Rodney's last day.

If he was innocent (he's not) he wouldn't have started the BS illegal Mueller "investigation," expand the scope memo which nobody has seen, and allow that atrocity to continue knowing there was no reason to start it in the first place

Not sure , maybe at first Rosenstein was swamp rat but since hes been turned and is outing these fricks . Remember Trump having a 1 on 1 with Rosenstein on AF1. I member . McCabe throwing him under the bus last night makes me think this . McCabe trying to play the victim role and shitting on Rosenstein . Why else would Trump keep him around ? Logical thinking baws

Imo bad optics, appear firing anyone who investigated him. shite media runs with it.

With an honest media it wouldn’t be any issue.

I don't believe McCabe's story. RR is smart enough to know the 25A angle was retarded. The wire comment was likely sarcasm. He knew McCabe had problems at the time. I'd heard RR indicated to friends he was leaving once Barr came on board anyway.

What's he waiting for? He needs to leave in disgrace now

I thought RR said he was resigning from the JD once Barr was appointed? That was about a week ago, I would assume RR was done at the end of the month.

I dont think he's a good guy at all, and he needs to be shut down, but at the same time, I dont trust a fricking thing that slime McCabe says as he's trying to save his own arse.

I seriously think Trump would rather just whine on twitter about the deep state coup that has seriously damaged his presidency than actually fire them and press charges against them.

Seriously, he has more cover than ever to get rid of everyone not named Mueller and yet he still does nothing.

Stupid.

The only reason rod hasn’t been fired is because of his connection to the Russia investigation. Firing him would lead to another 8 year investigation

RR's been with the DOJ for 28 years. Probably a good time to move on to something else, career-wise. I don't think he was ill-intentioned with the Pres., rather stuck in a hard place.

(Also heard Matt Whittaker is staying on in the AAG's office.)
