You must have a different history book than me. WWI - Russia said 'frick this' and made a separate peace with Germany. WWII - Russia signed a non-agression pact with Germany before the war which gave Germany the ability to invade Poland without fear of Russia siding with Poland. In fact the non-agression pact gave Russia the right to take a big chunk of Poland territory. Only HItler's anti-communist obsession made Russia switch sides when Operation Barbarossa began in June, 1941. Post WWII - Russia sided against the U.S. in numerous proxy wars, including Korea and Viet Nam.

Take all the bullshite out.

When it mattered we fought together against common enemies.

I don’t understand how this is even argued.

Also, wgaf about Poland. We are talking about fighting Wws. Agreements or land they are taking is none of my concern.

Well if your claim is they are genetically built to be that way would you not also claim the Samurai warrior ethos would add Japan to that list? I mean they have a proven history in the Pacific.

The only reason Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili sided with the U.S. and the UK was because he needed us to supply his pathetically equipped military with what it took to keep Germany from overrunning his country all the way to the Urals.

He had zero affection or loyalty for the good guys. It was a marriage made in hell.

File that under, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

And that's no bull shite...

No doubt. Stalin was well aware of what side the US was on in the Russian Civil War when we sent troops there.

...and it wasn't his side.

Completely agree here.

I’m not going to lie, I’d support Russia over any European nation at this point. Europe is gone gone.

I sometimes wonder if it would have been better to let the Germans be like a python trying to swallow an elephant.

Some of y’all should read up on the German pretexts for invading Poland and compare them to what you’ve heard from Russia
Russia invaded Poland at the same time. England and France only declared war on Germany.

Not sure what point you're making. You probably aren't either

Won't happen.......Russian threat....but they are not going to directly attack a NATO country

I bet you’re wrong. Maybe they won’t do it over these Taurus missiles, but if it escalates much more Russia will bomb Germany. What’s to be afraid of? NATO isn’t coming in with troops, because that means American troops, and Trump isn’t about to do that.

Missiles, bombs planted in cities, drones, I don’t know. If you are implying that Russia can’t bomb Germany I’m scoffing.

Yeah you don’t know. A Russian armored column would be about 6 vehicles these days 4 of those would break down.

All this can be over in a couple of weeks. Let’ the Poles comes through Ukraine and problem solved.

Good point. I've read some WWII non-fiction books that asks, "Why did FDR so quickly forgive Stalin for signing the non-aggression pact with Hitler which literally allowed Hitler to attack Poland to start the war?"

I don't think anyone knows the answer to that question...
