LA Times: 7th LAUSD teen overdoses
At least seven teenagers, including the 15-year-old Bernstein High School girl who died last week, have overdosed in the last month from pills possibly containing fentanyl, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The latest overdose occurred Saturday morning, when a 15-year-old student from STEM Academy of Hollywood, one of three schools located on the Bernstein campus, was found unconscious by his mother in their Hollywood residence, said LAPD Chief Michel Moore.
LA to provide all schools with narcan.
Doses of Narcan, or naloxone, will also be provided to all LAUSD School Police officers, Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said.
“We are experiencing a devastating epidemic. Whether we talk about fentanyl or the many variations of fentanyl, there is an abundance of drugs that students are having ready access to,” Carvalho said. “Effective the second week of October, every one of our schools at L.A. Unified will be outfitted with the appropriate tools, including Narcan available for students who may experience a condition of overdose through the consumption, the ingestion of fentanyl in any type of format.”
Seven kids. In a month. Sad. And infuriating.

My oldest is twelve, but at the behest of someone in a similar thread, I had a conversation with him about taking unknown pills/substances and how deadly it can be. It was a conversation I hadn’t really thought about having, but I’m glad I did.

No doubt!
There is a video of a police officer that overdoses from touching it. Show it to your kids. It really shows how dangerous this shite is.
The officer survived.

Reminds me of the Sweet Valley High books that were all the rage in my youth. A beloved character died from trying drugs for the first time.
Looking back, that was a ridiculous scenario. But with fentanyl that is not the case these days. Hoping all y’all’s kids escape this horrendous stolen Democrat era.

Don’t overreact. The border is secure.

That sucks - was probably ecstacy. No one should ever die from ecstacy :(

Trying to think of something witty or funny, bit I've got nothing. This is just sad.

Don't worry, if the pills are white and some deaths are minorities, Biden, Kamala and blm will blane it in racism and start worrying about fixing t

When drugs are legalized/normalized what do people expect?
Posted on 9/23/22 at 6:51 am to CalDawg
Fentanyl is why the border is wide open. Weed is not profitable anymore.
I believe Fentanyl is behind all the local crime as well. All the way up to corrupt leaders putting criminals back out on the streets.

Well Joe said the border is secure so surely this is an isolated event.

Meanwhile Joe Biden and his corrupt democrat pals fight the Republicans in an effort to keep our southern border open so that cartels can feed more fentanyl to our children.
George Floyd is not a hero. Floyd was a fentanyl drug pusher, who died of fentanyl ingestion.
Derek Chavin is an innocent man. His only crime was being a white policeman, doing his job.
Trump 2024 - Now more than ever.

Same. We have had multiple conversations with our 13 yr old. We began talking about it last year.

That video is scary but he didn’t pass out from touching drugs. It was clearly fake news that was called out by people and retracted shortly after. Even with that being fake Fentanyl/Drugs still should be something every parent talks to their kids about on at least a monthly basis.

Maybe Visa and MasterCard should flag fentanyl purchases. It’s an idea.

It's the leading cause of death for people 18-54 or something like that

California laws being more lenient on drugs and drug crimes, Democrat laws trying to allow unfettered and unregulated immigration have led to this.
I would also put some of this on the media industry (tv, movies, print, etc) which continues to push how doing drugs is good and fun far more often than how doing drugs is incredibly dangerous and deadly.

They're not overdosing. They're being poisoned
