Then you are simply stupid. It's been explained over and over.

Look, as I told the other poster twice, I get disagreeing with the law, although I think those of you who do so are wrong (and you do too, which is why you won't answer the question i ask over and over but instead play games like you are doing right now), but acting like you don't understand it is being disingenuous.

Felony murder has been explained to you, the lack of intent has been explained to you, the fact that the intent of the crime doesn't have to include intent to engage in whatever direct action causes death has been explained to you, and I've linked to a legal website explaining the concept of perpetrators action's being linked legally by virtue of the conspiracy concept.

If you really don't understand at this point, you just have a low IQ.

I think it's more likely that you are being dishonest.

IMO the cops are more culpable than Baxter.

I’m not ready to say that just yet but I think overzealous cops are a greater overall danger than floor mat thieves.

I’d wager far more people have been killed by Barney Fiffe wanna be’s chasing a hot set of berber weather techs than have been by someone lifting them.

So how did the cops know that the thieves had only stolen loose change when they were chasing them?

Is the police chief the Amazing Kreskin?

I’m not arguing they are culpable but they played a much bigger role in the deaths than Baxter did.

No. What you don’t understand is that just because some cornball politician codified it and an enterprising DA found a clever way to make it stick, makes it right or just.

I don't believe a slap on the wrist is appropriate punishment for stealing someone else's hard earned property like you and Cubbies seem to. Thieves cannot be rehabilitated, IMO.

Letting thieves out of jail after a few days will do nothing to deter them from doing it again, and they will.

Then they shouldn’t be risking the lives of the public. Jfc.

And I’m far more fearful of people with this callousness than I am of losing my precious floor mats. You need Jesus.

I know you are but what am I?

You can support the life without parole sentence without making blatantly nonsensical comparisons to this incident.

and you do too, which is why you won't answer the question i ask over and over

I can ask if you agree that 2+2=4 a million times. It still doesn't have any relevance to this thread.

I have explained repeatedly that I understand that this sentence falls within the bounds of the law. I'll repeat it again, this discussion is about whether or not the charge, conviction, and sentence is logical or serves as justice.

You obviously agree that it does. I totally understand that you support life without parole for getting arrested after breaking into cars. You have made that abundantly clear. You don't have to keep replying trying to get me to understand that. I understand that. I promise.

The fact that your response to someone disagreeing with you is name-calling says more about you than anyone else.

I can see that. Hot pursuits are not for public safety. They are for cops with a raging justice boner.

Do you plan on stealing anytime soon? If not, you have nothing to worry about.

It absolutely blows my mind how people support criminals and believe their lives should be easier.

The department's own policy dictates that chases should only occur for violent criminals. The police knew that no one was physically injured while the car burglaries took place.

Do you pay 100% of your taxes? How do you know? Geez, sure would hate for you to slip up and get sent away for life.

or to touch grass. I have to believe people are just doubling down because they're bored at this point. Or they think Trump might read their posts and tweet at them.

frick you. How is that for discussion. Someone died because of their thievery and your attempt to pin it on someone else is typical liberal illogic. So have a nice day and shut the frick up.

It’s just conservative virtue signaling.

They are talking shite because there is no cost on their end. And being tough on crime is what alphas do!

If someone who was in police custody can be sentenced to life without parole for something that happened while he was in police custody, we all should be concerned.

That's what you fail to understand. You trust that the government cares about you and would never hurt you. That is 100% false.

No, I don't trust the government. I also don't view street level police officers as "the government", and yes, I know where their paychecks come from.

I trust myself to stay out of police custody, so I am not concerned about this.
