Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche was narrowly confirmed by the Senate on Saturday to lead the Justice Department on a permanent basis under President Trump.
Blanche’s nomination was approved in a 50-49 vote, with two Republicans, Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine), voting with all Democrats against his confirmation.
“Mr. Blanche is nominated to one of the most important offices in our country, and he has shown that he’s up to that task,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said ahead of the vote. “His impressive background and the presentation at our hearing in the Judiciary Committee are proof that he’s led the Justice Department with distinction and is well suited to continue doing that.”

It's weird how they'll vote for any AG when a dim is in office because "they deserve their candidate". But won't vote for a republican presidents candidate.

It isnt weird when you realize they aren't republicans at all. They just put an R next to their name to get elected

I wish the Republicans would return the favor and try to block the nominations of Democrat Presidents, but they're cowards so that will never happen.

We have got to get voting by proxy out of congress.
Cocaine Mitch and dementia Maxine absolutely were not there yet they voted.
If you can’t be there your vote should not count.

He's protecting his friends from Alaska and Maine so they can appear "moderate."

It's weird how so many of you just make shite up. Senators must be present on the floor to vote. McConnell wasn't there. And I assume you're talking about Maxine Waters, a house member.
Senators can vote by proxy in committees.
