re: Seems we will need to kill a lot more IRGC troops to meet our objectives.

The fact that 10 days into this everyone still has to make wild guesses about what the actual plan was tells me everything I need to know.

There are 40 million Kurds in the surrounding countries ready to go back to Iran. And there was a video of some conscripts ready to change sides. I hope it will move quickly once the bombing stops and not w US boots on the ground. I'm sure Isreal is kicking it's chops to get in there. They've been dreaming about this for a hundred years

That’s my point.
I agree with you. Lindsey and the warmongers know what they are doing.

Everyone keeps telling us that Iran is powerful but they fold pretty quickly upon bombing
The bombing is the easy part.

Israel doesn't have the capability or manpower to occupy a nation like Iran. Plus, the notion of a Jewish army occupying Iran would make the Iranian population, the Arabs and the other Muslim nations go apeshit crazy.
Israel has enough nation-building to do within its own borders, I doubt they have any desire for an on the ground presence in Iran. That's what we are for.

The IRGC will need food and water.
The USA will not place the Army inside. There will be no need for it. The tech involved to contain the IRGC will do its job.

I think this has the chance to be Covid 2.0 for Trump. I think he’s been convinced or co-opted into a really, really bad decision that will necessitate more less desirable decisions.

Explain that in detail, and in so doing, how another ME refugee crisis is not created.

Might be the easiest part but one would expect heavier resistance if they were supposedly powerful

Once the main hubs for logistics and comms are destroyed, the IRGC will fray with no command and control.
I’m sure the main ones have already been taken out. We’re probably watching movements and getting to 2nd tier facilities and will keep going until nothing of significance is left.
At some point, we can take over their TV networks and begin broadcasting regime change. When we can reach the people with information that’s when it’s going to end quickly for the regime.

News last night was saying they still have way over 100k and it doesn’t take rockets or missles to keep the population under control.
well if news said it then it must be true.
because news knows all and news is never wrong

Mountainous territory will make it hard just like Afghanistan

I'm not worried Trump got duped on the cause for war. I think this is pure Monroe 2.0 building, trying to get the region to a place where the dominant actor are the AA states without the Iranian menace so America can retract in the coming age. Nuclear, ballistic production timing, protest crackdowns - all just pretext for that.
I am quite worried that Israel may have sold Trump an unrealistic bill of goods on Iranian resistance. I think Israel has legit, good, decades-old intel relationships in that community. But what if it doesn't materialize, or what if Israel softened the rough edges, etc. - will Trump resist what comes next, which is the inevitable Israel plea of "we've finally gotten to this point, just need that final push at this historic moment"?
Perhaps Trump has already factored that in and made it clear he can't be pushed over the edge.

dont know what to tell you. OP was either watching, listening to, reading or somehow otherwise consuming "news" and this is what "news" said.
It could have been right here. A few posters here fancy themselves "news"
But on the bright side at least after 9 days we have "news" so we can spend another 10 pages speculating on why this operation is destined to fail.......
