Of course there's more to the story. It's funny to see everyone going off half-cocked like a bunch of liberals based on a media report. I thought this board loathed the media and was suspicious of everything they said.

I don't really give a shite about the rights of Muslim scumbags set to be executed. The state can have someone force bacon down his throat before they execute him, for all I care.
I mean, if you're going to shite on the constitution why not shite on cruel and unusual punishment as well? If he's treated like that anyone can be.
Horde: He did really foul things to his victim.
Reasonable Person: Agreed . Execute him.
Horde: Let’s torture him, too.
RP: That would be unconstitutional.
Horde: Who cares? He is only a Muslim.
RP: Bad guy, bad religion, still an American.
Horde: I don’t care. He is really bad.
RP: Constitution even protects bad Americans.
Horde: Why do you hate America?
RP: Wuuuut?

You should probably read the opinion and not just some shitty partisan article with a clickbait headline.
Upon what do you think that guy bases 90% of his political opinions?

Yeah, seeing as this recent Moslem convert was convicted and sentenced to death over 20 years ago, and waited 10 days prior to execution to raise this issue, I can see how the court considered it a BS appeal.
He converted a decade ago and filed his appeal several days after the State denied his request to have his imam present.

The key element in this case seems to be that the State changed its policy and precluded ALL religious “advisors” from all future execution chambers immediately after the clear lack of comstitutionality was brought to its attention.

The STATED basis for the decision (delay in filing appeal) seems weak. He filed apparently within a few days of denial of his request to have the imam present.

Yes, the original procedure was constitutionally problematic. The procedure was repealed. Arguably, the Court should have condemned the former procedure, but I won’t lose sleep over its failure to do so.

I'd rather just as soon see the goat frickers banned from this country all together. They're a drain on Western Civilization.
Yep, let’s deport native-born Americans for no reason beyond their chosen religion.

I do not see ANY First Amendment concerns at all.

Most people don’t read those. I would have read it based on the article due to the obvious one-sidedness of the article. If the reasonable right is made to look racist, sexist, homophobic, or any other kind of mean and intolerant, there is likely more to the story than is being told.

I didn't say that we could do it, or should do it. But let's not act like your typical Muslim holds the same ideals in this country as your typical Christian or Jew.

What I gathered is they waited too late to file the suit.

So basically...

You just proved you are too lazy and stupid to do enough reading about this case to figure out the proper context. No shocker.
