I wish I had watched 60 minutes enough to even know who Scott Pelly was - so I could better categorize my combination of elation and satisfaction regarding mr Pelly's new status in life.

60 Minutes should have had a film crew rolling when they did this announcement or meeting for a special Inside 60 Minutes Special Segment. They probably do, but it is probably surveillance footage from room cameras which may or not be mic’ed.
Who knew behind the scenes newsroom activity would have more drama than an episode of the Real World.

I'm astonished this guy is getting as much press as he is. He's a non-entity, known mostly by the blue haired audience of CBS/60 Minutes and will be forgotten in a year. He's about to find out what ever other dipshit television 'journalist' has discovered in recent years: he has no actual audience, whatever notoriety/popularity he had was solely a function of his job. He'll be doing a podcast in his basement interviewing Don Lemon, Jim Acosta, et al.

It is a given the muh Journalist Pelley would pay tribute to George Floyd while condemning the stabbing victim in the UK who was hand cuffed by the cops on the word of the (truly racist) murderer that the victim had called him a racial slur. The victim bled out while the cops denied his pleas for help while searching his phone for the damning texts that would prove his racism. Zero doubt where the delusion SC would come down on this.
