I know. I was trying to diplomatically tell the OP that he didn't know what he was talking about saying Scalise had been elected SOTH.

So when all 212 Dems vote against him and 7-8 Republicans vote against him, how many votes before either the 7-8 go along, or Scalise withdraws and Jordan is offered?

I hate to be this cynical - and with all due respect, I do hope Mr. Scalise wins his fight against cancer - but I can't help but suspect his health is part of why GOPe's are putting him forward.
