It's normally refered to as "the peaceful transition of power." Peaceful transition of "military power?" As you say, it's odd phrasing. It sounds like the type of thing you might say if the military is taking over. Last I checked, the executive branch is a lot more than just military power. This general speaks as if the military is about to take control.

JB is going to be president. But, that's NOT what it means.
It means that the left views a military action directed by Trump as a legitimate threat and the buildup of military personnel in D.C. is a move to prevent that.
This is either an acknowledgement of guilt or true paranoia.
