I mean there's literal video of Kyle walking up to police officers with his hands in the air, off his gun which is on a sling. Presumably to turn himself in, but we don't know because you can't hear anything over people shouting "he shot at us. Arrest him!" etc. The end result of Kyle approaching 2 separate police vans and 1 cop car, again with his hands either in the air or the gun at minimum pointing at the ground from its sling (he has a moment or 2 where he brings his hands down either because he forgets or isn't thinking, then pulls them back up). The end result of that? He gets told by the cops to get out of the road.

Tamir Rice, as far as we know from statements, pointed a toy gun at officers after they were responding to a call of a person menacing people with a gun. I don't know if there's video to support that or not, but the orange tip was absent from his airsoft gun.

But yeah, they're definitely the same thing.

The Left generally can only make points by taking things grossly out of context.

IF I recall correctly...

Rice was shooting a pellet or BB handgun.

Someone called him in because he was in a public place pointing it around and shooting.

Police arrived and quickly jumped out of cruiser.

Video evidence captured his hand moving toward the "BB, Pellet, Airsoft, handgun. Police interpreted it as a threat and shot him.

Problem is it happened very very quickly. Did the police over react? Most definitely!

Should they have been removed from the police force? Probably.

Weak analogy.

Tamir Rice was playing with a realistic-looking toy gun in a park. Someone called 911, but made it clear that it was a kid and that the gun was probably fake. 911 dispatcher did NOT convey that info the the police cruiser. They rolled up on the kid and basically shot him for standing up and (maybe) walking toward them.

Rice was not killed for having the toy gun. He was shot because (1) it was stupid to remove the toy gun markings and then point it at people, (2) the 911 dispatcher did not do her job by apprising the police cruiser of the full facts, and (3) the cops were basically untrained and antsy, including one who (at his prior job with another department) had been deemed mentally and emotionally unfit to serve as a police officer. He got no-billed on murder charges, but I suspect that he is mopping floors somewhere now.

Right, not slamming the cops. The judicial system is going to bring out more violence because people will fight back. It is starting.

Also of very important note is to realize that they are quick to release these commies responsible for death and destruction, but if you defend yourself or others, they throw the book at you. There is an evil agenda at work. They want us to just lie down and take it and fear fighting back.
We can’t be afraid. A damn teenager wasn’t afraid.

The officers reported that upon their arrival, they both continuously yelled "show me your hands" through the open patrol car window.
They rolled up and started shooting. As I recall, the cruiser was still moving when they started firing, and they did not have time to say "boo," much less multiple repetitions of "show me your hands."

Tamir Rice has an Airsoft gun he was pointing at people. Whoever called out the cops told them it was a real gun. IIRC, he had obliterated the markings on it that made people know it was a replica.
Airsoft guns have an orange tip on the barrel so people know its not a real gun. Tamir Rice's gun had the orange tip removed, so it was practically indistinguishable from the real thing at any distance

The one at the top was Rice's toy gun, the bottom one is real. There's a reason the airsofts have an orange tip

Rittenhouse surrendered himself. The police could see what had transpired and knew that they were not under threat. The circumstances are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The meme SUCKS.

I've never heard that part, but I didn't follow the case at all at the time.

Nah, let these keyboard puzzies who have never had any skin in the game chastise these cops based on their personal bias...it makes em' fell like big men despite the fact they've never had to make the kind of decisions these guys face daily.

If I recall correctly Tamir modified an airsoft gun (removed the orange end of the barrel) to make it seem more real and then brandished it at cops.

I use "Google" as a generic for searching a topic. Use Bing or whatever search engine you like.

It's just annoying whenever someone starts a thread and it is obviously disingenuous about why they started it. Like this thread.

BTW, I just used google to search "tamir rice" and got dozens of pages by different sources explaining what happened, including Fox.com.

Jesus. They might as well have just wrote "Tamir Rice was black, Kyle Rittenhouse was white"

fricking stupidity.
