Love the timing of this. Wonder how Trump’s speech tomorrow will influence the upcoming vote in the Senate.
Will they shoot it down before the speech and have Americans react once the 2020 election fraud evidence is dropped? Or, will they wait until after the speech?

Kat Cammack, our very patriotic rep for my Fla district and she can spit the frick out of a watermelon seed.
When she first got to Congress a few years ago, she found her office was across the hall from Rashida Tlaib and that bitch had a Palestinian flag in her office doorway. Kay promptly put American and Israeli flags in front of hers.

More importantly, why is she even holding it?

I guess that is why 80% of our population is for the save act and 60% think 2020 was a stolen election. Most do care and you do too. Obviously for different reasons than most though.

of course
we all know nothing is gonna happen, though
if something was going to happen, there wouldn't even be an announcement, just people getting arrested

How does it get past a filibuster?

Hasn't Thune always had the ability to bypass the filibuster? I thought he had just refused to do so in the past (and still hasn't done it YET).

The Republicans attached the SAVE Act to the funding package. This is a tactic intended to force the Senate to take action. Graham was apparently working behind the scene, on getting Collins and others to get it to 50 votes. The ball is now in Thune's court.

I didn't think so. Only if it was a reconciliation bill, I think.

On budget reconciliation ypu only need a simple majority, 50 votes.

Whoever keeps it from passing has got to realize reelection will be impossible if they have an R beside their name. And no politician ever knowingly commits career suicide. Must have some serious skeletons in their closet

She’s a solid rep. She’s worked her way up the ranks

They can bypass the filibuster by attaching it to budget reconciliation. And JD Vance could push this through himself. It is an absolute mystery to me why they haven't done this. OR just nuke the filibuster. It's so stupid. If they really wanted to they could remove the filibuster, pass the bill, and then reinstate the filibuster.
The simple fact of the matter is that they have no intentions of passing it. If they did, they could get it done one way or another.
And why hasn't JD Vance overrode the parliamentarian and had it attached to reconciliation? He isn't serious about it either, despite what he may say publicly.
