I don't see the connection here? Those dancing and happy about a man being executed in front of his family and audience are sick and evil people.
The same people who wrote the musical are the ones who danced and laughed over Charlie. That may be the only connection I see. I don't understand your response at all.

I think he’s pointing out that the media is more upset about a Jew from the 40s being an object of satire while they have no issue with an American conservative in modern day being an object of satire. It highlights the idea that Jews, regardless of time period, are a privileged class while the rest of us are below them.
