You can refuse service to anyone you dont like because of their politics, you cant do it for discriminatory reasons and politics is not a protected class

How do you differentiate between political and skin color as the “reason” for the discrimination? Seems like a can of worms.

You're right, it in the cases you reference, gays were not discriminated against. Gay weddings were. Not sure weddings are protected anywhere.
