It might increase self esteem but it won't increase competence.
This is old stuff really. I remember in the 90s a researcher tried to prove that standardized tests were racist by giving a test to HS students about black history.
The white kids scored much higher.

A question I have to continually ask is why some minorities don't have these issues like eastern and southern Asians. When the Vietnam war ended 3 states took in the majority of refuges. They were Texas, California and Louisiana. I cant help but notice how they tend to by and large be doing quite well including academically. Reminder that these people came from a region with not just their clothes on their backs but to a country that doesn't even use the same alphabet. Hell the US spent the 1980s grappling with the aftermaths of the piss poor treatment of its veterans and these people were often seen as the enemy.

These people were basically poor going to a country alien in language and culture yet still managed to climb the economic ladder in the US.

Maybe instead of lowering standards and experimenting on kids like libtards like to do with every fad virtues signaling nonsense, we ought to examine the qualities it takes to succeed and focus on instilling those qualities in your children.

We are constantly told to examine the "root cause" of issues.

Except in this case the root cause of black student issues have been determined to be systemic racism. And when you can define any disparity as a systemic problem you enter into a never ending loop of lowered expectations.
