hospitalizations spiked bigly today too. No end in sight for them. They had a 3-day drop but that ended in a bad way today.

I’d guess another 1300-1500 deaths based on those numbers (without adding in new cases).
It’s kind of amazing how steady the ratios are. ICU to hospitalized patients has hovered around 30%.
If the WHO estimates are right, those numbers represent almost 200k cases in NYC (where hospitalized patients represent 4.4% of overall cases).

A little under half is what the early numbers from Wuhan indicated.
Here in St. Louis, they’re intubating patients once they need 6L of O2.

Amazing how shitty their population is health wise. Most states have a 1% death rate and 10% hospitalization rate.
Remind me again why anyone who is not sick and living in NYC should give two fricks about their numbers.
