Rush is a pillhead and a hypocrite but wish nobody cancer, hope he makes a complete and speedy recovery.

Here's an off-the-wall choice to replace Rush...Todd Herman (not to be confused with Tom Herman, the douchebag coach of the Longhorns) out of Seattle.
Todd Herman has guest-hosted for Rush a few times and used to do IT work for the Republican National Committee. He got so sick of the bullshite that was going on that he quit in disgust and started a radio show with the express purpose of exposing what was wrong with them. He played a big part in the changes that led to them NOT meddling in the Trump campaign in 2016.

Oh if you are a leftist then you are a pussy . That’s just undeniable science.

Rush is a great American. If he leaves he is gonna be hard to replace.

What are your thoughts on Pat Tillman?

Rush was/is unique because he laced his show with humor. There were very few times you listened to him when you did not imagine he had a smile on his face or was holding back a laugh. Be it his various updates (homeless and environmental were the best) or the parodies from Shanklin that he would play.
There will not be a replacement for him.
I love Levin, but his personality isn't built for that kind of presentation. He is the angry guy you listen to to get some solid constitutional education and get pissed.
Hannity is a repetitive moron who bullies even his guests.
I do think Steyn could be the one who takes the chair. But whoever it is going to be, Rush needs to figure it out soon.

Steyn is the only candidate with anything like Rush's sense of humor. He's also a good summarizer, although not nearly as good as Rush.
If you put me in charge of making the decision, I probably go with Steyn.

hahaha. my grandparents on my moms side were both apostolic christian ministers (he was a minister as well). they spent their lives founding churches throughout Argentina and Mexico. my dads sister is a nun. I went to catholic school my entire life, even boarded at Stanislaus before finishing up at Pope John Paul. I know that bull shite better than anyone here
That’s a lot of folks who no doubt feel shame and sadness about you

Michael's show is much "sillier" than Rush's, but his insight is very similar. His law background and both his and his wife's political background give a unique perspective. I would enjoy Shirley Q liquor being nationally syndicated

My thoughts on Pat Tillman are I hope he changed his mind about being an atheist right before he died.

Chris Matthews once subbed for Rush back in 90s before he really went off rails. Did a pretty good job that day.
Missed it. Could you summarize any recollections of that?

Of the which this Poster will perceive as (unfounded/misguided/ignorant) condescension.
I doubt that his choice is logic based, D; more likely - being on the inside - he saw hypocritical stuff in the Christian Flock that he found disgusting and reviling. 'Jimmy Swaggart' scenario maybe. Or worse. Personal...not philosophical.
It is of little worth for any of us who serve Greater Love (Jesus' version) and accept the Gift of Mercy, to personally pile on. We all live daily within the Feeling-based confines of our Belief. A life - no matter how good; Rush lived the top - is tragic if there is NOTHING...thereafter. All is lost. That nihilist scenario is not what one wants to wake up or go to bed to; though one may suppress the inevitable in the subconscious...sooner or later, it rises to the fore.
Book it. Rush has a deep and unshakable Faith. Minus that...he wouldn't be so happy. Or charitable; of the which he'll be found to be extraordinarily so, based on his Master's Gospel of Mercy.
No one will replace Rush. He is as gone as the feeling that was in the countryside and towns in the time that both Rush and I (and many Boomers on this Forum) lived in...and savored as a blessing beyond our just deserts. And one we can hope for, in the next. Even better.
Rush is fine. It's those of us who will still be here to deal with the coming 'transformation' into the next Human Paradigm (Fermi Paradox or Heaven on Earth)...that are up against the wall.

I never saw Limbaugh's show.
Yet, he seems popular and connected.
Maybe someone will let him on the fact that National Jewish is the best respitory hospital in the US.
He needs to get on a canned air drug from Germany called AtroVent HFA; and, National Jewish will prescribe it.

Funny how I bet those wanting Rush to die a horrible death or that say he is getting what he deserves are the ones most likely to protest a scumbag death row prisoner’s execution.

UPDATE Wed., Feb. 5 - Mark Steyn (guest-host) stated that Rush will return Friday, not Thursday. The delay was caused by the travel/security time of SOTU trip, but was NOT caused by any "more serious" concerns.
