There's little doubt that we need a 25th Amendment-style protection for SCOTUS. They're going to hang this old woman up on a post until she fully decomposes.
Or maybe they have already.

That's what happens when you are so dependent on the federal judiciary to deliver you policy victories you could not get at the ballot box.

Would Chief Justice Roberts have any authority to ask her to go enjoy life and retire already?
Even if he did Obama, Clapper, Brennan, hacked him and blackmailed him, so he wouldn't.

If she can’t drag her old arse there - she shouldn’t get a vote.

I love all of Gods children, including her. That being said, i think its time for God to end her suffering.

Age limit would solve the majority of these issues. Make it 70/75 or so. That gives most appointees between 20-25 years on the bench. And its a way to force some circulation in the Court's membership without requiring them to run for re-election or being re-nominated as a term limit would.

Poor Ruthie's corpse is going to keep voting the way the Dems want it to vote until they can't sell the lie any longer.

Why does she need to vote. She might as well check off the vote on the leftist side at the start of the day for all of them and call it a day since that's how she's going to vote anyways.

If she’s absent from arguments then she damned sure shouldn’t be voting on anything.
RBG has been making her decision prior to arguments throughout her career on the bench. Why should she change now?

She will try to hold on until after 2020.

Supreme Court term limits. 20 years, that's all you get

Chief Justice Roberts needs to sit down with her and have a talk. If she is physically unable to be there in the chambers to hear arguments and vote then she needs to retire for the good of the country. These cases are too important for the nation. It' snot fair to either the plaintiffs or defendants that she isn't alert and able.
Having said that I don't think she will make it to the end of Trumps term. If Trump get reelected then you can book it he will get at minimum 2 more nomination (RBG and Thomas).

It’s evident she’s been trying to hold on until the next Presidential election in hopes of a Democrat allowing her to retire with another like-minded replacement.
It’s looking pretty unlikely she can hold out 2 more years and with the Senate still in the GOP hands it looks like Trump make get another pick on the Supreme Court and this one would be pretty huge essentially setting up a 6-3 /5-4 court that would impact law in this nation for a generation at least.
All I can say is heaven help who ever get’s selected to replace RBG because the Cavanaugh selection process will look like a folk dance compared to what is going to happen to the next nominee.
It the next 2 years weren’t already going to be a raucous event. Add selecting another associate justice to the list of events and it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

She's only hanging on because she thinks she can outlast Trump, or at least make it to 2020 so the Democrats can "Merrick Garland" her successor.

She will die and they’ll hide it under the rug until a Dem gets to be President and pretend she is at home getting medical treatment

(CNN) — Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will not be at the Supreme Court Monday morning as it meets for its first day of oral arguments in the new year.
The court's public information officer said Ginsburg, who is still recovering from surgery last month to remove two cancerous nodules from her lung, would still be able to vote on the cases by reviewing the transcripts of oral arguments.
Ginsburg, 85, has survived other bouts of cancer which never caused her to miss oral arguments.
Ginsburg was released from the hospital about two weeks ago, according to the court, following the surgery earlier last month.
The court said there was no evidence of any remaining disease following the surgery. The nodules themselves were discovered incidentally following tests after a fall she sustained in November. The key liberal justice returned to the court shortly after the fall that fractured three of her ribs last November.

I get that some people like to work as long as they can but at 85 if you can't show up to a job that her aides rubber stamp for her, it is time to ask her to kindly step down.
CNN is aggregating this story. Just last week I said I didn't trust CNN breaking a story-- and it was fake news. So if this is what CNN is reporting I imagine she is in hospice on machines to keep her technically alive.
