Russian singer promotes national pride

I may get dragged for this but I saw this about a year ago. It’s a powerful image of national/cultural pride. This is what Ukraine is fighting. Love of country and a common culture, which the Left wants to kill in the US. Look at those kids.
I grew up in the Cold War and watched Reagan own Gorbachev in Reykjavik. Celebrated the wall coming down. Not saying they’re our allies, but it’s a different time.
Rough translation of lyrics:

You will get dragged, but I have no issue with pride in one's nation. I hope someday to feel that again. I hope we stop being the gayest nation on earth and project real values to the world again.

When you survived Napolean, Kaiser Whilheml II and Hitler invading your country by sure will to survive crazy conditions and throwing bodies at the problem, your country tends to have some national pride and identity.

It’s cultural (and it shows up in the language) but they see each other and the nation as an extended family. There’s a collective identity there that the Greeks would have understood, but that has largely disappeared in the modern West.
One of our problems is that without this sense of kinship, it’s very hard for us to defend our values and ultimately our civilization.

Maybe, but that really is not the point. Having true pride in one's nation goes beyond military. Having pride in culture, history and national identity. In the USA half the country hates our history and our culture has no discernable rallying point.
