They're talking about gas. They converted it into electrical terms. X amount of gas can produce X amount of electricity. I guess it's to make it easier to understand and make the number look bigger.
It's a lot of power
A large transmission line that runs directly from a power plant to a substation and powers an entire town is often 500 kwh. So this is equivalent to hundreds of those, or several power plants closing.

Natural gas pipelines don't "flow".
They have pressure that can be tapped on one end, the other, or anywhere in between to pull out or inject natural gas.

I really don’t understand what it means “reversed its flow”. Are they taking NG out of Europe and if so why wouldn’t Europe use a valve of some type to stop it (probably lots more complicated)?
