I'm watching CNN. They have said nothing about 23 Americans aboard. State has only said they are trying to confirm who was on board and where they were from. IMO you're probably going to have folks from many nations. Saying Russian media has all sorts of conspiracy theories floating. CNN mainly stressing no one knows at this point. Now the question is who has the black box--Rebels, Russia, Ukranians.

He should not have gone out for a burger and fist bump with his fans.
He could have come out and made a serious statement, not the pap he spewed-stating the obvious that it's a "terrible tragedy", citing the seriousness of the situation, hoping for cooperation from both the Ukrainians and Russians, drawing on the situation to stress the necessity of the Russians ending their interference in the Ukraine.
By doing this he could have begun to rally support, especially in Europe, for increasing pressure on the Russians to leave the Ukraine alone.
He could have been serious, firm, and used the opportunity. But he didn't.
No where in any of my posts have I suggested that he was complicit in the downing of the plane, or that he should go into attack mode.

Monitoring 4 news channels and they are all contradicting themselves every 5 minutes in their efforts to be the first to have the real scoop.

If the plane stayed in tact till it hit the ground all of the debris would be seen in one location. But the debris is spread out over miles. What likely happened is the missile hit the plane it broke it apart and the was a brief smoke ball at the collision. IF the engines or fuel tanks weren't hit than there is nothing that would be caught on fire till the engine for example hit the ground.
also if you watch a video of the crash, you see no smoke ball or no sign of a plane, if the plane crashed in tact than there would be video of it, if people caught debris falling from the sky.

He knew about this almost as soon as it happened.
Oh. I have no idea. That seems to be what the tweets were implying though. They had one by the other. I was confused. I didn't know the time table of the incident. He should have canceled his semi-photo op then unless there was some other reason to go/ act as nothing happened until the news broke. Granted this isn't that big of a deal. To see how he moves forward will be interesting.

something caused a fire on impact, if there was a fire at 33000 feet it didn't follow the plane down. That is the only point I'm trying to make.
