You trust the French? NATO is a farce because the Europeans have not funded it. Most countries don’t adequately fund their militaries because they rely on the US. The Italians and capable military? LOL. I wouldn’t trust Turkey either. The Germans are a joke. The other NATO countries except for Britain are useless and won’t be much use in a war.

US carpet bombed for weeks because idiots like you would use any instance to attack our actions. Then, once the ground forces went in, they moved at lightning speed, took control of large swaths of land, and encircled the Republican guard. I've seen NOTHING to suggest the Russian forces could do anything near what we did.

Only part I don't agree with is even if we weren't broke and had nothing to fix here we shouldn't get involved in Ukraine as it's not our fight (yet).
If Russia appears to be building up to attack us or a NATO member we should hit as hard as we can and as fast as we can and everywhere we can. None of this fighting a 'limited war' or other such bullshite.
The only thing I'm confident in is that Biden will frick this up

and yea when we went into iraq we also took our time, went slow and deliberate and were fighting a country with a much better military and a lot more fighting expierence than ukraine and also was a half a world away.

if you are dumb enough to think Russia could even come close to defeating Nato well i dunno what to tell you.
even if the US stayed out completely(which they should cause frick nato) then europe itself with our weapons would wipe the floor with Russia.
Russia is a paper tiger, same with china. unless its a land war of who can throw more men at it, then both of those countries are shite out of luck unless it turns nuclear.
if putin goes after poland, he will get his arse destroyed completely and thoroughly. that will be the end of russia as we know it. he either takes the loss or goes nuclear, no other options.

you are the one that is wrong. russia spent an average of 40b per year from 1992-2020. their high was 80b.
the top 10 european nato countries spend an average of 290billion. They also would own the skies and supply lines for the russians would be non existent the min they attack poland.
its so mind numbing how little so many of you understand about military capabilities and how much of a paper tiger Russia and even china to extent are.
now russia has 5977 warheads.....1600 are active deployed. Russia upped spending on nuclear capabilitity to 13% of annual budget, so at most they are spending 10b a year on nuclear with only about 10% of that going to maintaining nuclear weapons ~5billion going to modernization and acqusition of new weapons.
so looking at the cost to maintian and keep up with weapons they are lucky if they have a dozen truely working war heads with teams compentently trained to use them.
that is a lot but they honestly have to know this will not end well for them.

Why don’t you explain your thinking then. NATO countries are spending less than 2% of their GDP on defense. If you think that is adequate, then explain why the commanding General of the German Army said they were not able to equip the army adequately. NATO is the US and a collection of dwarfs who aren’t thrilled about defending against anything. Europe will repeat the mistakes they made in the 1930s.

This only addresses your spending comment, not specific advantages/disadvantages in military might. That being said, if France/Germany/UK teamed up, they could take on anyone even without our help (outside of China).
