And the tweet says they got at the foundations of that policy.

“Hey, OP, the GND itself wasn’t passed so your title is a bit misleading, but I like what they’re doing here” seems much more reasonable that whatever it is you did.

Endangerment Mandate

quote:

Key Mandates and Effects Regulatory Requirement: It forces the EPA to act on climate change, specifically requiring, rather than merely allowing, the regulation of heat-trapping emissions.

Sector-Wide Limits: It authorizes emission standards for mobile sources (cars, trucks) and stationary sources (power plants).

Legal Basis: The finding stems from Massachusetts v. EPA (2007), which defined GHGs as air pollutants under the Clean Air Act.

Proposed Changes: As of February 2026, the Trump administration proposed rescinding the finding, aiming to remove the legal authority for these regulations and eliminate future reporting obligations for manufacturers.

The amounts saved in the auto and power industries would be huge to everyone. The only bad thing is it will be reversed with the next Dem president.

Government looks at most things as a 10 year spending threshold. $1.3T would likely be $130B/yr. …..

$130m out of 7.5T is a 1.733% cut…..
