I don't think there is much of a future either.

If you're counting on America to pull out of this nosedive, you just haven't been paying attention.

The 2016 election of Trump was the final act of defiance by "old" (pre-Bill Clinton) America.

How I feel about the future of our country isn’t the point of my thread.

EVERYONE with a brain should be a defeatist about the country's future.

A lot of people still don't get it.

Can you blame him? We have undoubtedly the most corrupt government in the world. We have been fed nothing but propaganda all of our lives. Our entire institutional (government, judicial system, educational sytem, media system, etc.) framework is rotten to the core.

If Redeye opines on it, you can rest assured it is the opposite side of reality.

While I don't think you're being pedantic here, I think that a rational analysis of the current situation would support a defeatist attitude about the country's future - especially by a person who is living out his final weeks/months.

The Republicans have no ability to lead. We know this. They actually, I think, enjoy being the minority party.

In the past, they were united enough and sensical enough that even as the minority party, they could keep things from getting too out of hand when the Dems are in charge.

Rush probably see what I see... all you Trumpkins saying you will never vote for the GOP again, will lead to a fractured party, and will ensure significant Dem majorities in 2022... and unchecked power.

He probably also sees how the GOPe is always willing to negotiate with the Dems, but the Dems are never willing to negotiate with them.

We need a strong conservative leader who isn't an a-hole, to stand up and take charge.

Rush has many friends who are politicians and has an insiders view of how Washington works. You think he didn’t know this before?

I mean, can you blame him? He's near death and the country is going down the tubes. Nobody has unlimited energy. Everyone wears out sooner or later.

God Bless Rush! He was always so upbeat. I wish him a speedy and peaceful journey to the other side. He is doing what he loves to do. But not even that can take away from the troubling and disturbing things that have been done by the democrats.

I tend to agree with this. If you go through my post history you’ll see that I’ve been very concerned about what the youth are bringing with them. They are revolutionaries in their minds. Intent on burning things down. They are not interested in having discussions, unless there is a predetermined outcome that favors them. They are not interested in preserving traditions and values you hold close to your heart. This is war. An ideological one (at this point) as they are currently a figurative scorched earth type. But it’s only a matter of time before that escalates on their side and reflexively on ours. There is no winning “hearts and minds”. The lines are clearly drawn if you simply open your eyes and pay attention.

Rush has every reason to sound deflated. I noticed it a few shows back. Most everything he holds dear is under assault and is losing as of right now. It pains me as I would love to see his country go out on a high rather than a low as he gets closer to his end on earth. But those of us with faith need not fear what is coming. Don’t ever forget that. But while we are here, we need to fight with everything we can muster.

“You don't spend your life being angry when you're winning.”

That’s what’s wrong. Everyone who disagrees with you is an angry racist. Rush isn’t angry and I’ve listened to him for three decades. If pointing out facts is anger or racism, I see why the liberals continue to say conservatives are angry racists. Facts be damned.

Yes, I was thinking the same today. I'm afraid Rush understands that the only thing of importance is where you spend the rest of eternity. This is all the doing of man and the devil. Not worth losing years over.

You are a lying piece of shite who frequently does not know what you are talking about but in this case are lying even worse than usual.

NONE of what you said is true. You obviously know NOTHING about the show and have likely never listened.
