Have you seen the election map? This places would be the size of Guam.
They might tip over.
They might tip over.

Can't democrats living in red states say the same thing?

There is a fair argument that blue states subsidize many red states
I liken this piece of propaganda just like Climate Change. If CC were real, banks wouldn't loan out billions for beachside investments. If Red States were really a drag on the Blue States, then Blue States would be cheering on TEXIT and cheering on others to join them.
Conservative States tried to leave once already and almost a million Americans died as the end result.

This isn't true.
The numbers used to calculate this include all federal government expenditures in a state, such as military bases and VA payouts. The government isn't spending money on Barksdale AFB or veterans because the people of LA need assistance. You can't accurately draw the conclusion you are presenting based on the data used.
I broke down the numbers in a thread a couple years ago. Basically, the majority of federal assistance to red states go to blue areas. These red states have the highest percentage of blacks, who use the most welfare. It is not the rural whites needing the assistance like the people who falsely peddle this narrative want you to believe.
It is the blue states like CA and IL that are constantly under water financially. It's not AL or MS begging for handouts to make their bloated budgets and failed pension systems solvent.
When you look at the underlying data, you realize that people making this argument are being dishonest.

Democrats hate republicans until they need our money.
O.k., but rural areas hate cities until they need their money (which is all the time).
You realize a disproportionate amount of government money goes to rural areas, right? Those areas take way more than they kick in.

Ya know, if some states and areas of other states seceded from the present national government to form their own, what would it be called? A group of independent states - a confederation, if you will - where the power resides in the states and only limited power and authority to the central government? Hmmmmm, I'm drawing a blank...

These people could just achieve their desired result by moving to a red state. I did (moving out of Illinois) and it was easy and has been amazing.
You want to destroy your state and the QOL of the people living there? Have at it, but I'm not putting up with it.

Is there a link for this? I'm genuinely curious.

This might be true but it's vastly overstated by not counting the bailouts to Wall Street and the banking industry, the auto industry, the insurance mandates, and on and on.

Gotta feel bad for all the good guys trapped in California. Trump got 6 million votes in California.
Steve Garvey also got 6.31 million votes in the CA senate race which was ~230,000 more than Trump.
