SLAPP!”
Except he didn't make the allegedly defamatory statements in any litigation. He purposefully steered clear of the craziness in pleadings.
The statements Dominion complain about were made on Twatter and other socials so will be hard to argue SLAPP

from a practical standpoint no.
It is really really hard to win a defamation suit and the defendant can pry into almost anything they want to (professional or personal). It’s very invasive and still hard to win.

quote:The assertion is the DC anti slapp statute doesn’t apply here and the remedy would be a motion to dismiss under rule 12 or a motion for summary judgement under rule 56. It’s not my assertion, but the holding of several federal circuit courts.
So, the only remedy in the DC court is MSJ or affirmative defense? Is that your assertion?

Almost like Tom Clare would have known that when shopping venue.

Assuming any are left which haven't been tampered with prior to 11/04/2020.
Wow. Your lunacy is uncapped.
How about the ones Trump appointed?
Had you not lead with the personal insult, this could have stayed civil.
You rancid, syphilitic, twat spittle, you should take the time to understand what the blinding frick you're responding to before you jump into something. I get that you have trouble handling more than one thought at a time ping-ponging around in that empty echo-chamber of a noggin of yours but do make an effort. Not everyone is as kind as I am to the retards of the world like yourself, they won't take the time to break things down into as many simple words and crayon drawings as possible to explain it to your moronic arse.
Repeat it with me... I. Was. Talking. About. Voting. Machines.
I know those were some pretty big words for you, Corky, but I really think with practice you can do it.
Again: I. Was. Talking. About. Voting. Machines.
See? That wasn't so difficult. Why... in no time you might even be able to not fall into a drooling stupor while trying to remember how to spell your own name.
Maybe.
Now take these words of wisdom and go somewhere and thoroughly frick yourself with them.

I still see this as part of the academic side and the 30,000-foot view to boot. When I speak of practical I am talking about things like how particular judges administer cases in specific jurisdictions. Taking the temperature of the court is a big part of the battle.
The quality of work Clare does is outstanding and while I have yet to read the Rudy complaint the one he filed against Sidney was excellent. You can see the BigLaw thoroughness and also the crafty nature of a boutique shop.

LOL...another sheep...believing exactly what he’s told to believe.
And I liar. You’re a conservative? You must be like those “enlightened” conservatives that CNN trots out there that agrees with the Democrats on every single issue.

Dominion is probably trying to get Rudy to implicate Trump.
How does client attorney privilege work in a suit like this?

how anyone can downvote that is just sad
how anyone still believes 911 is what we were told is nothing short of pathetic ignorance
like it's a joke how much of a joke the official narrative is
rudy is a fraud
the election is a staged frickery mess for all kinds of reasons and agendas

Dominion has real attorneys and they didn’t blindly step into a bear trap. The $1.3B is reflective of punitive damages.
