I swear the influencer types just fricks with many of you to get clicks. Europe loved his speech..
It goes on from there with some European leaders talking about stepping up.
CBS News
quote:
Munich —Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a message of reassurance in remarks at the Munich Security Conference, calming some fears that months of sharp U.S. rhetoric and policy disputes had opened a lasting breach between Washington and its European allies. "We do not seek to separate, but to revitalize an old friendship and renew the greatest civilization in human history," he said. Though he admonished European nations for prioritizing welfare programs over self-defense and embracing migration policies that threatened their societal cohesion, he framed his critique as part of a shared reckoning. "We made these mistakes together, and now together, we owe it to our people to face those facts and to move forward — to rebuild," he said. At last year's conference, Vice President JD Vance delivered a combative address that rattled European capitals and fueled fears of an accelerating trans-Atlantic split. In contrast, Rubio paired sharp criticism of the post-Cold War order with repeated affirmations of shared destiny. He argued that postwar "euphoria" had led the West into a "dangerous delusion" of borderless globalization and overreliance on international institutions.
quote:
"This was a foolish idea that ignored both human nature and the lessons of 5,000 years of recorded human history. It has cost us dearly," he said. Still, Rubio paid homage to what he described as a civilizational bond between the continents. "In a time of headlines heralding the end of the transatlantic era, let it be known and clear to all that it is neither our goal nor our wish," Rubio said. "For us Americans, our home may be in the Western Hemisphere, but we will always be a child of Europe." The address drew a standing ovation. Conference chair Wolfgang Ischinger said afterward that the remarks were widely seen as reassuring. "Mr. Secretary, I'm not sure you heard the sigh of relief through this hall," he told Rubio.

My thoughts exactly. Until this minute I didn't think JD would face any real primary challenge but Rubio has been killing it at State and this is a shining moment for him.
Rubio has publicly stated he would not run in 28 if Vance does.

Rubio: We have NO INTEREST in being polite and orderly caretakers of the west’s MANAGED DECLINE
BRAVO!!! This is needed, even though, sadly, it'll fall on deaf ears. To much money greasing palms to keep on the path it's going. Also, way to many non-Westerners that don't innately understand what he he is saying, and will see it as a threat. Like the African girl in one of the crowd shots. Some non-Westerners can grasp the idea of Western civilization, but not the majority.
I would have liked that "self destruction" was dropped in their, cause that's what they're doing.
Americans sometimes forget that there are many Hispanics, like Rubio, who also come from Western civilization backgrounds, so this is innately running thru his system. We just don't see these types here as much, as they tend to stay in their nations as they are able to succeed there.
Not trying to knock Rubio, but looks like he has an issue with dry mouth when speaking. Goes back to his water drinking debacle in that SoU response. Looked like a elderly trying to readjust their loose dentures. Something that'll be mocked by the left more eventually as he is on the next prez ticket.

JD is better for Domestic affairs. Rubio has things handled from a foreign policy standpoint. I would prefer my president be domestic focused, however, a team of the two would be dynamite.

If he can become a more likable guy on the campaign trail, he would garner tons of voters.
He plays a role now of hard arse and no fluff and pretty much has to in his role, but he is more MAGA than MAGA itself.

Now, put some action behind those words.

To all the worshippers, stop. Just take the message that he gave and spread it! The next president will be, who he will be, when he will be. So until then, stay focused on the current message without deviation.

Nice 1-2 punch by Trump. Send Vance in to scare them, and then Rubio to get them to understand what is needed.
I'm glad they see we aren't wanting to depart from our kinship, but Trump needs to make it clear to them that WE WILL NOT allow them to drag us down, so the time to get on the right track is now.
We aren't suiciding ourselves for them, so right that ship ASAP.

i'm still skeptical of Rubio. 99-0 confirmation was a major red flag for me. He's saying all the right things, but part of me still fears he may be a Uniparty plant.

Agreed. The truth is that we cannot just sit back and watch Europe implode. Alarms need to be sounded, pressure needs to be applied but ultimately they have to act.
I’m just sick and tired of “influencers” taking things out of context. It’s no different than what the media does here to paint a picture they want while ignoring things they don’t like. That can be achieved by omission which is what was done here.

Tough choice but both better than any crazy communist the Dems will run.

They all are.
Moreover, unless this "future leadership" isn't overtly pledging fealty to a certain ME country, NONE of them are promoted to the top of the GOP-Dem Uni-Party / Globalist ranks.

Rubio has always been an articulate reader of his scripts and speaker, and dependable dual-nation rep.

You know why and McCarthy tried to tell them in the '50's. It appears POTUS Trump will stop this and because of the ability of all to find unfiltered information, the TRUTH is SETTING us FREE!!
