I like that Trump doesn't care about optics (most of the time).
I don't like that Trump has no class.
But, like others have pointed out, they reflect the eras. If anyone—including Trump—had acted that way in 1980, his political career would have instantly been over. And that was before Cancel-Culture. But it would have been so far outside the bounds of anything that would have been considered socially appropriate that he would have lost electons as a result of it.

He had CIA and spec ops soldiers in Central America doing shite. He bombed Libya and tried to kill Gadaffi (who escaped just moments before a bomb exploded his palace in Tripoli).
He SHOULD have invaded Iran after they killed the Marines in Beirut, but Caspar Weinberger talked him out of it. Years later Bin Laden said that America fleeing after the Marines were killed proved they can be defeated.
