Kavanaugh was another terrible pick by Trump in a long line of bad personnel decisions. He’s a big federal government guy and it was obvious prior to selecting him. This court is very moderate and will continue to put out some baffling and frustrating decisions for conservatives. It’s a shame none of the liberal appointees ever break rank. Literally never on big cases

A lot of Trump people won't admit it,but this is spot on.Trump has always been pro big government. There is no other period in time where he would have been a conservative.

I’m not surprised the healthcare mandate was allowed. If you take government money, the government has skin in the game. Not so with the OSHA thing.

Amazing that people are actually bitching today. The OSHA ruling is great for conservatives, and the healthcare mandate is pretty well situated within fedgov’s spending powers

The healthcare mandate was not a “big government” decision. It’s the government’s money. It is in fact possible to rule in the governments favor when the government is legally correct and not be anti-American.

It’s the power of the purse. And regardless of how you feel on taxation or government expenditure, the principle that whomever is paying for/responsible for X gets to set their preferred conditions on how X operates permeates all levels, public and private.

They are with the Catholics. What is the Supreme Court? Like 1/3 Jewish, 2/3 Catholic? We've seen what the Pope is now. These justices have a more global perspective than American. They should all be removed.

I’m not really bitching. I haven’t followed the healthcare one closely. I just believe Kavanaugh is going to frustrate conservatives for a very long time

Yes, I am aware where the governments funds originate. The government still gets a pretty wide latitude to attach strings to funds it provides, period. Play with the semantics of who’s money it “is” all you want.
