The ability to build with minimal oversight by a city was part of what they loved about having so much of the parish being unincorporated.

Problem is that it moved so much of the money to that part of the parish over the last 45 years that it created the situation to where St George would be a thriving city while BR is a dying one. Few businesses want to build in BR proper if they can be in an unincorporated area.

I think part of it is a multi generational hatred dating back to the Russian Empire, which is insane to me, but I think a lot of it also goes back to Stalin’s purges and how they identify with the Bolsheviks, and are thus angry they lost control of the Soviet Union.

it is not a surprise to many people. Trotsky himself was a virulent Anti-Soviet activist in the Western Hemisphere. ironic since he was one of the original gangsters of the Bolshevik revolutionaries.

a lot of liberal thinkers in the 50s-60s America subscribed to the Trotsky theory of a liberal world order. use of force around the globe to make sure we don't have another Hitler, Stalin. look how that turned out.

now there is a ubiquitous factory of terrorist groups globally, major military powers consolidating into military blocs and a very unstable global trade situation.

we can all thanks our benevolent neocon intellects. we're on the brink and they're blaming "isolationists" or whatever stupid labels they've come up with. appeaser, sympathizer is out of fashion I guess. its our fault we're America first, the monster that needs slaying is growing stronger because we aren't bombing enough swarthy rebels in bum fricking nowhere.
