Does Eddie even know what a moderate is? Does he know that they are a thing that exists and that there are more than 5 of them?

He doesn't seem to. His attack ads, focusing on JBE's anti-Trump moments, seem to indicate that he thinks he's still in the primary.

Does he think that any of Edwards' voters are going to be swayed by that? Quite the opposite. Does he not see that making Trump a litmus test is a stupid tactic? I know that 6% might not seem big now, but it will feel like a big ole toe up his arse on the 16th. Shoring up the stay at home vote by having Ralph shill for him will only bring him up to normal partisan levels. It won't get the moderates, and he's actually energizing JBE's base with his own commercials.

I'm calling it now. You right wing puritans have fricked the dog once again.

And speaking of right wing purity, I'd take Ralph calling out Trump's pussy grabbing (a fact that would have appealed to moderates, btw) over Eddie gleefully helping to bring Common Core to Louisiana - all day, every day.

You need this. You need this loss, so you'll learn.

You obviously don't understand the average Louisiana voter if you think this.

I'm voting against John Bel Edwards no matter what.

That corrupt sleaze ball needs to go back to his third rate shyster law firm in Amite suing truck drivers.

However, there's a reason why I absolutely opposed Rispone going negative against Abraham. You just absolutely cannot piss off voters you will need later.

I hope that those kind of Abraham voters are very few and far in between and Rispone can win this election and improve Louisiana for the better.

I watched an attack ad demonstrating we are last in everything, we have no job growth and we are losing population, but not one word about Trump.

You must not watch much TV, they run all the time.

Yes, it's like one out of 20 of them. He has run the worst campaign I've seen in quite a while and could still win because of our typical voters and their connections to a cult. If he wins you all will have no excuse for the state failing anymore. I don't think you all are ready to even address that.

Nah. Louisiana voters are stupid. They'll vote for higher taxes just to spite the guy who won a spot in the run off. Just like they could never vote for a guy who had an affair.

In Louisiana we get the leaders we deserve.

All the cultists in the state will never come close to 51%. Either way.

Edwards is a piece of shite and deserves to lose, but the partisan hackery is far more negative than positive at this point.

Looks like Lane Grigsby picked a shitty puppet.

Typical Democrat excuse: (Insert previous Republican name) fault.

So, Jindal’s fault.

Also, another point here.

The fact that this race is basically tied and is going down to the wire and JBE is still very much a threat to win reelection is a great example to republicans/conservatives that voted against Vitter as to why you should make sure you are absolutely ok with the decision because the other guy will run for reelection and it is not guaranteed at all that he will be safely defeated by a republican you can support.

When you make someone an elected official, you are affording them the incumbency advantage, a record to run on and the ability to fundraise and gain more support by virtue of the position they hold. And those are things the republican candidate will not have in four years.

God help us if the Vitter haters indeed stuck us with a liberal tax and spend Governor for 8 years.

Well its a tool used by both sides. If the 2 billion deficit was not Jindals fault than the current state of things isn't Edward's fault. You can't pick and choose. However recent data shows we have momentum and after digging ourselves out of that mess than that should be good enough. Rispone can't do shite without a plan.

It's also a frightening reminder that the Democrats seem to have a built-in 45%, no matter who they run. I'm not sure it can be chalked up to mere incumbency, when JBE has done such a demonstrably bad job.

Like you say, republicans better learn not cut each other up too much in the primaries, which I believe is what they've done here.

Jindal left office with almost a one Billion dollar shortfall. It wasn’t two Billion dollars.

The initial Edwards budget that he wanted was short two Billion dollars, not Jindal’s.

That's what happens when you lose too much productive, hard working, and tax paying population to other states.

The takers aren't the ones that are leaving.

It's why we need to move our election system to the Georgia model with closed party primaries prior to the blanket general election.

And this needs to happen regardless of who wins this race or not.

It's probably a better example of the incompetent uselessness of the state republican party apparatus here, although I suppose you could argue the two things we're saying go hand in hand.

The typical LA voters and their cult.....

You referring to the Democrats that have run this state for roughly 95% of its existence? That what you referring to?

LA has had, what, four R governors since reconstruction and how many R senators?

Not many, and I should know. I voted right along with the Filth up until a few years ago. I also helped the "cult" go blue for Clinton just 20 years ago.

You appear to be a part of the cult you claim to hate.
