Just curious if any of the principles that are important in your life changed based on that debate. How anyone can vote on emotion or who looked better is foreign to me. Do you think 50th is a good spot for our economy? Do you like taxes? Eddie could be an incoherent janitor and I’d vote for him if he wanted to increase job growth and lower taxes and reign in the trial lawyers.

I mean.. I was genuinely interested in hearing what they had to say on the topics and Rispone seemed to dodge questions. Specifically, during the infrastructure segment, getting on the taxes tangent was annoying as I was particularly interested in hearing what they had to say on that topic.
But actually... what did it is when they had that little back and forth about being 50th or being 10th... I googled the website John Bell referenced and was surprised to find that he was right.

JBE was the first D I ever supported and it was mainly because of his stance on abortion and his faith.

The question was - why did he hire FOREIGN workers? Not workers from out of state or illegals but FOREIGN workers. Rispone couldn't seem to understand the question and kept denying that he hired ILLEGALS but that wasn't the question. It was about FOREIGN workers.
I know several people that worked in the oil patch and got laid off. Some ended up working in construction. Some left the state to go work in Texas in fracking. They wanted to come back.
Rispone hired FOREIGN workers at a time when there were thousands of Louisiana workers literally starved for work. It's not right. He never answered the question but I think we know the answer-
He wanted cheaper workers.
