the left, pr0g filth, are the mainstream, lame-arse people in power.
They are the ones who want to BAN things they dont like, censor speech they dont like, jail people they dont like, etc.
The right is the counterculture. It is where the new, hip, and exciting arts and media are coming from. You cant be edgy and be the power broker.

As a conservative millennial it blows my mind how the generation after me, is it Gen Z?, is so conservative. I got so much shite in high school for my political beliefs, even in Texas.

It's been that way for a while now. The Progressive Left is completely reactionary, controls the culture, and waves that coercive Nanny-finger like some dystopian puritan from your worst nightmare, while The Right are the counter-intuitive cultural dissidents saying "WTF". The Left hasn't figured that out yet of course, being way too busy obsessing about Trump.

And they aren't just standard conservatives or tea party conservatives either. They are generally socially conservative and much more highly traditional. That is, they are reactionaries rather than conservatives, which will be much harder for the left to stop as their beliefs are much more entrenched and their resolve is a lot higher.

I'm seeing this in my 13 year old right now. He's much more conservative than I was at that age.
