Well, if he is worried about 30-year mortgage rates, then he should be concerned about what more money printing will do to the 10-year yield and stop focusing on Powell.

Things the BBB will do that will push the 10YY higher

Deficit spending
Increase the supply of bonds
Inflation concerns
The Fed will tighten its monetary policy
Artificial economic growth through infrastructure investment will be seen as actual economic growth

yep, it is indeed Congress' bill. Fix 'yo shite.

Trump deserves criticism for supporting it. But Congress, deserves boat loads for writing the damn thing.

So now it's the Senate's turn - fix it and force the House's hand, who primarily screwed it up, or STFU.

As long as house and senate members can blame Trump for what they wrote then they have the cover to not fix it. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy if they can deflect all the blame.

There are probably 30 million new immigrants who can neither speak English or for various reasons are unemployable. And if they cannot be deported they must be fed and housed. It’s either /or and Trump knows this. Biden/Dems opening the Border and flooding the Nation with unemployable immigrants has essentially assured Obama’s “fundamentally change the Nation” intention. This ship has sailed. It’s now spending on toward the USD collapse and likely the “Great Reset “ in whatever form that might take.

Why do you think you are superior to everyone who doesn't agree with the ignorant, jackass Dem mindset? You are not perfect and your IQ is no better than the next Joe who's opinionated. So stop talking down to folks or why don't you run for president.

You think the "Dem mindset" is promoting major spending cuts?

I have one question: were we in this situation when Trump left office in Jan. 2021? What got us in this situation, the last four years of a jackass Dem-led govt'? Help me understand this, as I never thought it would get fixed overnight............................

That John Rich quote is wrong. The politicians are answering to "We the People" because they know that despite half of "the People" clamoring for cuts, 85% want their free shite. If they actually cut half a trillion for this coming year people of all political stripes would be crying and bitching about how their free shite wasn't what needed cutting.

I opposed them, but I don't "throw fits" especially when pols act as they're supposed to. This whataboutism is not the gotcha y'all think it is.

Democrats spend. Water is wet. Melting over it does nothing.

I've posted at length about spending, deficits, and debt in non-partisan ways. This is clearly an issue beyond partisanship, as the traditional GOP and Trump/MAGA are all about deficits and big spending. The pols who are serious about cutting spending (like Rand, Massie, etc.) are the extreme minority.

KK, this bill is trash

No one expected Biden or the Dems to rein in spending but Trump ran on it and DOGE cuts. We have not ratified any DOGE cuts and are about to get inflationary money printing round 3.

So your calling for rate cuts the past 2-3 years is because of...?

How is criticizing Trump's Biden-level spending "TDS" exactly?

For one, the bulk of the proposed budget comes from the house at this stage.
