Big govt conservatives invading too far.

Normally, I would agree with you but the NCAA has an anti-trust exemption. Repeal that and I'd agree but since it's in place they, and anyone with an anti-trust exemption, is fair game.

That's a huge over reach BUT let this be a warning-- if you take things from government you give them power to do such things.

Technically, sure. Functionally? Come on.

If you mean 2011, that was still done by the BCS

Government officials from all parties need to stop believing that they need to be involved in all aspects of life.

It's just a ploy to garner votes. Louisiana politicians did the same thing after the "no call" fiasco in New Orleans.

Rest assured, pick a concern and our elected leaders also share your concern, and the desire to do nothing about it.

It would be sweet to find texts from Bama bribing members of the committee!

it’s obvious the decision makers took advantage of FSUs QB situation as an excuse to arrange a matchup that’ll draw ratings.

This. And this is why they will fall all over themselves every year to make sure Bama is in it, if not too blatantly impossible to justify.

I'm fully convinced that all of the changes in college football over the last 10-15 years are an extension of the culture war and are being driven by TV execs in the Northeast, many of whom are former Obama staffers. College football's core fanbase is white men from the South and Midwest, and anything that group likes must be destroyed.
