Oh don't know about that. After Trumps phase one plan lowered investment barriers in China for his buddies in multinational banking US multinationals poured hundreds of millions into Chinese companies.

Would it bother you if you tried that in another country that would more than likely give you the runaround and after taking your money, seize the land back? I am 99% sure this would happen in place like China, Russia, etc.

I have no interest in trying that.
Chinese are buying land here because real estate in China is crashing and is not the investment it once was..

I agree with the OP but nothing can save this country from itself.
Under the OPs suggestion there is nothing to stop a person from selling land to an American that is bought and paid for by the Chicom party. And it would surely happen. Look at Washington as a perfect example.

Supposedly property prices are falling in China, so Chinese are buying American real estate as a investment. China isn't coming back from its demographic disaster that its in the midst of.

Same.
Should be a 1% federal property tax on all land owned by non-home owners and another 1% for land owned by foreign interests and another 3% for land owned by countries hostile to us. Land owned by institutional investors is another huge problem. They want us to own nothing.
