Long Island is a place that can swing pretty wildly. Certain parts of it are staunchly red while the ultra wealthy enclaves like the Hamptons almost always vote blue. It’s a big mix up between the conservative, blue-collar multi-generational families that have been living there for decades versus the new money that’s buying up real estate in the very eastern part.

While Obama did narrowly win there in 08 and 12, Trump won in 16, 20 and 24.
