Their official warning didn't include inflation. But it added the shutting down of police, fire, hospitals, and schools as well as Global Depression.
Not as bad as the Climate Change warning. So far we don't have any guarantee that all human life will cease to exist. But they could amend the warning next week to add some stuff.

“Financial chaos would, presumably, eventually lead to some compromise in Washington. However, this might not occur soon enough to prevent a recession and could leave some lasting scars, including a permanent increase in the cost of funding U.S. federal debt,” Kelly said.

And already blaming the coming(already here) recession on them.

Bezos already warned that the incoming recession is going to be extremely bad and to not spend money on unnecessary items.

So nothing absolute in Kelly's statement, just conjecture. I think I'll go ask my dog her opinion on the subject.

Bamarep reminder: one trillion dollars is a stack of $100 bills 6 3 1 MILES high.

We owe 31 of those stacks.

I knew once Dems started squawking about debt, this was going to be the narrative.

NY's former Gov Pataki actually succeeded in cutting state government via attrition. He put in a hiring freeze and moved people from non-essential to essential as need demanded. No big layoffs to stoke opposition and intractable state government bloat was shrunk a good bit.

So that would mean one trillion dollars is a stack of $1 dollar bills 6 3 1 0 0 MILES high, assuming the $1 bills are the same thickness as the $100 bills.

It's "fuzzy math"--simply bogus.

How can one political party be that full of animosity, animus, ill will, venom, malevolence, malice and simply just good ole-fashioned HATE?

This isn't the America that I grew up in.
