One could replace “the constitution” with “law of the land,” and y’all’s post would read the same. Some things in the constitution are absolutely brilliant, others are despicable. It’s not something to hold near other than the ability for it to change, which it has and does

Are you high or tailgating early?
Serious question.

Because if you are (and given your posts, I hope that's the case), good for you! Let's let this thing drop.

But just in case.....

Here's a hint .... the Constitution does not make Amendments, people do. The Constitution simply dictates the process -- a process about which you are clueless.

Any others left the repubs since November? I can’t stand them anymore and changed my voter registration. Any pros or cons by doing this?

I left Jan 7th..

now independent

I am a conservative...

The GOP left conservationism

they no longer have an obvious identity
little to no leadership

the country is fricked when they lose people like me and you

I say that humbly but it's true

if people like me leave or stop voting...it's over over...

I already feel it's over because of what happened to Trump

the Progressives showed what they will do to destroy an opponent not born of DC ilk

and the GOP showed they have no interest in a Trump other than to try regain re-election off his coattails.

It’s hard to even fathom a Republican winning a presidential election right now besides Trump.

In 1968 I registered as a Dem because that’s all we really had in Louisiana — if you wanted to vote. Then in 1975 I went into the newspaper business and changed to No Party so as to remain independent. But I voted conservative.

Then in 2020 I changed to the GOP to fully support Trump. Then earlier this year when Rhinos abandoned Trump, I went back to No Party.

I got a call from the GOP about a month later wanting to know why I had not donated to the GOP. I ripped the poor woman a new one about how they abandoned Trump and how Cassidy was a turncoat. She tried to counter but I asked where she was located. And she said Utah! Well, that did it and I lit in anew on her fricking creep (Mitt the Shitt). She sheepishly gave up.

I’ve never heard from them again for money. I’m just fine picking and choosing my own conservative candidates.

There’s really only one party. At least by being Independent you don’t belong to it. If the uniparty monopoly isn’t broken soon, there’s no hope.

Come to the No Party group.
Been No Party for 10 years.
Another advantage of being no party is Republicans, want our votes as they understand we can vote either way.’

I left the republicount party in 2016 when they did all they could to subvert Trump and then wouldn't get behind him when he won anyway.

GA has no party affiliation for registering to vote.

I've not donated to the GOP for 15+ years. I give directly to the candidates.

I became an Independent after Nov 2020. Will take some getting used to not voting in GOP primary. But frick the establishment Republicans.

I did to send a message that I’m sick of the RINO candidates and the lack of support for DJT. Short of throwing a bunch of money at the party, it’s all the plebes can really do outside of voting.

More R’s should do this to give the GOP a wake up call.

You can always change back from I to R in a few years, just ahead of the primaries for the next presidential election cycle. In about two years, the message will be received by the party bosses and you can switch back in time to get into the primaries.

A fiscal conservative that is a staunch supporter of the Constitution that comes across as tolerant and loving would mop the floor. Instead we have goofy RINOs or folks like Cruz and Jordan running around grandstanding.

Desantis would have a shot nationally
