I'm going to do my best to burn the Republican party to the ground until it fractures mostly by trying to expose and primary incumbents while supporting challengers who believe in American exceptionalism and resist globalist agendas.

decided not to vote for Trump in July. Before he hid behind the Capital police for a photo op in front of a church, that was it. I knew then that he was a fraud. He had my full support before then.

Well hopefully you just didn't vote, if not then you are an even bigger fraud.

Unbelievable to think that in 4 short years, Trump managed to frick up this party so much. Takes a real special dipshit to do that.

Tried to tell them what a megalomaniacal cretin dirtbag the guy was but we ever got was "cuck!" "Libtard!" and childish shite like that in this board. Conservatives are fricked and it's all because the trumpkins took that shite hook line and sinker. We all need to take a long hard look in the mirror and especially the Q fools on this board who got 100% duped by that insane orange a-hole.

Haha we're talking about 2012 you stupid piece of shite. More people vote now?

Yes, millions more voted. You’ve got to be pretty fricking dumb to think that saying more people voted in 2020 is “literally the most idiotic thing I've ever read on this site.”

Our last three nominees before Trump were Bush, McCain and Romney. The party has been fricked for 20 years. Trump saved it for a bit, but assholes like McConnell and Pence ruined it again.

It'll be up to DeSantis to save it again in 2024.

You act like there are two components to the GOP. I'd say there are three. 1) The Trumpers no matter how many people he throws under the bus group; 2) The establishment crowd - which is the majority; and 3) true conservatives.

Many Conservatives supported Trump. Many got embarrassed by doing so. Most true conservatives never really cared for him because he is NOT a conservative - despite what Laura I tried to push.

Because Trump threw Pence under the bus, his chances are prob not good. I think Gov DeSantis and Sen Hawley had good chances, but Trump just hurt both of them. I would vote for both of them.

The guy with the best chance to win a general election probably can't win a Primary. That is former Nevada Gov. THe best option for the GOP is to support someone like him, and then focus on taking back Congress with more TRUE conservatives.

Trump will NEVER be President again. He just destroyed that. But, he could run against the GOP and put a DEM back in office.

The onus is on you establishment Republicans to show the rest of us a practical difference between one of you and a Democrat.
Do you not see that?

Enjoy perpetual second place, and impotency. At least you’ll be able to claim adherence to the Marquis de Queensbury rules as the country fails.

More people are engaged in politics now than 10-20 years ago.

Because of Trump.

And that's for both sides especially when some say that many people hated him, they wouldn't have voted otherwise. They sure as hell didn't vote for Biden.

More people probably voted because Trump was on the ballot, not because more people care about politics in a vacuum

The Republican Party is dead, and will never matter again. Gone the way of the Whigs.

I can’t wait for the upcoming midterms. Watching the GOPe squirm when they fail to gain seats in the House and Senate is going to be fun.

GJ in 16 as a protest vote

We may share some values based on that list.

FWIW, Gary Johnson & Bill Weld were both pro-abortion and actually supported Planned Parenthood. How any libertarian can support tax-payer funded abortion is beyond my comprehension.

Now, other than giving lip service to being pro-life, all those other issues are DOA in the GOP. The GOP is a party of Permanent Big Government.

Especially #3, non-interventionism. Trump’s stated goal to start no new wars and end the ones he inherited was indeed one of the main reason both wings of the Deep State sought to destroy Trump.

If you believe in the principles of limited government, no UniParty® candidate is going to match those “values.” So you are forced to pick and choose your cards from a very bad hand.

Is Trump perfect? Hell no.

But what candidate is? The point here is that it is a false Conservative Inc.® talking point to demonize and ridicule Trump’s supporters as having no “core conservative values.”

In your estimation, was Pence an establishment type or a “true” conservative?
