We have a wall along our border with Canada now? Who paid for it, the Mexicans?

I take your point. But, I don't think 300k illegal crossings being apprehended is a small number, even if it represents a massive reduction in crossings from ten years ago.

We can haggle on semantics and what constitutes a 'crisis' vs. what doesn't, but that doesn't get anyone anywhere.

Most people, assuming you as well, would agree that any large number of illegal crossings is a problem. We can disagree until the cows come home the best way to combat that problem, but I don't see any merit in putting forward that there is no problem at all down there.

There is if you have a vested interest in keeping that flow of illegals coming.

Per his Twitter...

“400,000 people came into our country illegally last year and we had $67 billion worth of illegal drugs coming into our country. We must secure our border, but we can't be negotiating on the backs of hundreds of thousands of federal employees working without pay to keep us safe.”

If this joker agreed with Trump, he'd have to commit ritual seppuku on the House floor to get any kind of coverage from the democrat propaganda media. Oppose Trump, get a Rolling Stone interview.

There are walls and armed guards around most of these people's houses. There are walls and armed guards around where these people go to work. There are walls and armed guards around where most of these people send their kids to school. There are walls and armed guards around anywhere more than a few of these people gather.

You know who doesn't deserve a wall and armed guards? The American people. The American people just need to live exposed to the scourge of illegal immigrants. Live amongst the drugs they bring, the gang violence, the diseases, the poverty. Deal with the downward pressure on wages, larger class size in schools with teachers required to teach to the lowest student in their classes. And above all, bow down to the tyrannical government that forces us to fund illegals to the tune of 130+ BILLION PER YEAR.

Congressman Will Hurd of Texas can kiss my Arkansas arse.

And do you know how many school shootings there have been in the UK since they banned handguns in 1996?

When we see the word 'apprehension' you realize the part that graph is leaving off is the 'release' part.

We have enough Illegal Immigrants here as it is. We don't need anymore low skilled and uneducated people who can't speak English. These aren't engineers, architects, and computer scientists coming across.

His district is ~75% Hispanic, and he won by a razor-thin margin.

What is supposed to do, p*ss off his constituents like Trump has done?

That's a strawman argument. Hurd explicitly says that there is a problem at the border. Democrats agree that there is a problem at the border.

But like you said we disagree strongly that it is a crisis that deserves a government shutdown over.

You know that this graph only covers the first month and a half of 2018, right?

I'm garbage at math, but if you extrapolate that number out for the whole year (which we shouldnt have to do because full year 2018 numbers should be available), im almost certain there would be more than previous years.

Ok, I got my CISSP a few years ago, and am working on becoming an RMF SME....

That should give you plenty enough clues.

They use knives now. And it didn't curb homocides apparently...
