Remember after the hurricanes in the south they were saying well they shouldn’t live there.

Oh I do: Let’s give another $200 billion to Ukraine!

Add a zero before it’s all said and done. Before he leaves office Biden will probably send 100 billion to California to help pay for it.
Well, whoever is actually running the country now will.

Doubt those places are worth a can of beans if they had State Farm.
State Farm has to be the most crummiest insurance company in the world for canceling home owners policies in that area.
I am about to cancel my auto policies with them due to high rates for auto insurance. I have had auto insurance with them for over 20 years.
I looked at a quote from Progressive, nearly double the coverage for half the price.

That's only 1/5th of what we just threw at Ukraine and every elected official could wait to sign and send.
Let's see how hard it will be when it comes to the USA. Well, California.
Will any be wearing the California flag and/or putting on their X account?
I, personally, say let California default and go bankrupt and take it over. Put those commie bastards on a short leash and investigate all that responsible for this epic failure. Also, only $750 in FEMA money.... if they qualify. Those dumb asses need to feel the pain of their decisions.
But, it will still be interesting to see how there's never any money for Americans. Well, Californians.

Some idiots were. The majority of our fellow Americans showed amazing compassion and paid for the rebuild.

Why didn’t you step in and insure them? State Farm might be a shitty company, I don’t know, but if they determined their coverage of those homes was a bad deal for them, then they had a responsibility to their shareholders to cancel those policies.
What if you were paying $2000 per month rent, then prices fell in the area, and you could get a similar place for $1000? Would you cancel, or keep paying the $2000?

Obviously the cost of buildings varies greatly. A large commercial property is worth a lot more than even these 10 million plus mansions. But like I said it's way too early to get anywhere near an approximation of the damage.
It’s an estimate. And it doesn’t take a genius to see that estimate is high.

Just ask the Ukraine if we can pull 10% from their next couple of payments and we should be able to pay this easily.
