Does this mean Obama and Slick Willie Clinton could also run for a third term?

No. Only allows a President who has two nonconsecutive terms to run for a third term consecutive to his second.

Dumb idea though.

I like Vance.

If old arse Trump starts showing signs of mental collapse like Biden, Republicans need to find a pair of nuts, unlike the Dems, and thrust JD Vance into Commander in Chief.

Oh, lighten up.

It's a stellar troll.

It will curdle milk in Rachel Maddow's stomach and single-handedly give Joy Beyhar dysentery.

Therefore, it's a good thing.

Maybe, maybe not. I think it’s stellar arse kissing. This politician is hoping to avoid a federal investigation. Hoping Trump will save him.

I’m whole-heartedly against this idea.

But don’t even try to pretend that this isn’t the kind of thing you’re all about if it’s a Democrat involved. Some of us have been around long enough to be quite familiar with your posting history. So just put away the self-righteous act already.

We don’t need a third term. We just need a smashing success in term two. Then the path forward will be clear.

Look what Biden destroyed in JUST 4 years. This is a double edged sword and often those come back to bite you.

Nope. I don't want either side to be entrenched. And he would be too old.

Biggest mistake was not have term limits for Senate and House. 2 terms and move along. Maybe a little longer for House. 5 terms. 10 years is enough. Move along.

Yes.

Leave it for JD to maintain for the next 8 years.

As energetic as DJT is, I don’t believe it serves anyone well to have a POTUS who’s 86 years old at the end of his final term. Let him go off and play golf, enjoy his twilight years.

An aging Trump would make a fantastic post-presidential statesman in the mold of Carter. Negotiating hostage deals, leading humanitarian movements, and such

We have them. They're called elections.

Except incumbency in DC buys power and re-election strength. These roaches in there for multiple terms end up with campaign war chests of $5 Million plus…all for a job that supposedly only pays $175k plus health insurance.

And voters are stupid. Send people like McConnell and Pelosi back to DC into their 90s.

Term and age limits.

Agree.

It’s stupid and desperate arse kissing hoping President Trump will get the Feds off his back.

Oh yeah…I remember such “conservatives”, who also didn’t want their gravy train government contracts to end.

Term limits does not solve this issue. In fact, it makes it worse.
