Trump wants to use DOGE to attack the spending, instead of fighting a stupid battle over the debt ceiling and risking a default.

I figured this was pretty obvious to everyone. He wants it done now so DOGE can start day one.

You Ronbois keep showing your true colors

You never cared if a Republican won. Just as long as it wasnt Trump. Get over it. You lost. In embarrassing fashion: House, Senate, WH, and a bigger USSC majority. And even DIMS are supporting removing illegal, and pushing back on crime

And yet youre crying like a bitch

I don't think he cares about leverage. I think he really is planning on DOGE wrecking shite and using EOs to get a lot of it done.

To be fair, if the new CR didn't raise the debt ceiling, you would give anyone but Trump credit.

Its way more than that. He has to go. Did you not see the post by Stout?

We have “republicans” in the house with ACTUAL voting scores well below 50 meaning they’re functional democrats and you want me to worry about some GOP house member with a 100?

There’s some clown from Indiana under 20.

There are 50+ GOP house members who deserve to be primaried before Chip Roy.

Eliminate the RINOs and then we can talk about the purity test conservatives.

This is unfortunately feeling more and more like a loyalty thing than a functional question of whether this guy votes as a Republican should.

More lies from the “freedom caucus.” Raising the debt ceiling does not necessarily mean that Congress has to spend more.

Of course, because our government has so much fiscal discipline.

Newsflash, we will be asking for another debt ceiling increase well before 2027.

A big reason now is not spending but debt servicing. So even if spending is not going up, the cost of the debt is. Allowing DOGE to start reducing the government is the best approach to fix this problem. Let Elon use his huge popularity to force through structural reforms.

It's really insane that this is where we are. Having to raise the debt ceiling by $5T to service our massive debts

Lmao…pleas explain why a debt ceiling increase is needed for DOGE to “start day 1”.

It would seem to me that having the prospects of a debt ceiling expiring would give DODGE more urgency. Otherwise, it’s like gaining 20 lbs and then going on a diet and losing 15.
