They were hell bent on getting this investigation. I don;t think people are going to buy a fresh accusation so I am thinking they go in another direction.

No way these Communist cocksuckers don't have a plan. We need to find out who is pulling the damn strings and hire the bastard. Everyone has a price.

"in 2005, his last year as a lobbyist, his dad made 13M."

And his mother was a well respected attorney.

She will have a tough time walking back her public denial of involvement or knowledge. She already straddles the fence in saying she hadn't met Kavanaugh and doesn't remember the party, but that she believes Ford.

She appears to be supportive of Ford, but won’t put herself at risk to get there.

One gofundme account will be all it takes for the media to also call her courageous.

Think about that. This is a sad time.

Dr. Ford has made 500k in the last week. Your point?
your whataboutism has reached insane levels when the topic is whether or not kavanaugh is from a wealthy family, and you think what a completely unrelated person made a week ago somehow refutes that.

or maybe youre just dumb, I guess thats an option, I shouldn't take that off the table yet.

Who did not even go to law school until well-after he was born.

When he was in HS, she was an underpaid baby prosecutor.

The topic of this thread is about Leland altering her story to become "courageous".

“But she believes Ford”

Wait a minute, isn’t that what Ford said she said?

This is perhaps the most moronic statement I've ever heard. She was a terrible witness. Do you know how many times she said I don't remember? Do you know how many times she had to correct herself? Do you know how many times her story changed? Seriously, you people are mentally ill. Her story isn't even enough to get a warrant, much less justify a criminal charge.

It's already on record that she called Ford on the phone and apologized to her for not knowing anything. She's pretty much set in stone on the event.

If she were to change her story, it would make the whole thing look very shady.

She gave a heart-felt account that SHE probably believed.

That is hardly synonymous with “credible.”

Given the painfully-stupid crap that gets posted here 100x per day, this is a high bar.

Didn't she say she didn't know Kav, that they didn't hang in the same circles?

"When he was in HS, she was an underpaid baby prosecutor"

His father was also an attorney. I'm sure they did better financially than the average middle class family.

This is why her story won't change. She has indicated she never met and doesn't know Brett Kavanaugh. Changing her story opens her up to criminal charges and makes her story even less credible.

Good theory. I think the fix is in and his nomination is dead. Very sad too cause he is a great man IMO. I pray I am wrong.

You got a lotta down votes, but imo they may not fully grasp the depths to which the demos will dive to wreck this nomination. They operate freely and openly, but in the words of an old book’s title, “none dare call this treason.” It is what it is, and I think you aren’t out of line in your prediction. I agree it is the next likely shoe to fall. I just hope we are wrong.
