This is a great site and has a forum for every interest.
Why not have a Religion Board for these discussions?
It seems to infiltrate Political Talk more and more.
Don't get me wrong- I'm a Christian and I welcome discussions from my Christian brothers and sisters.
But is this the right forum?

Fair question!
I'm not opposed, although posters would have to use good discretion since religion and politics intersect so much these days. Whether they should intersect or not is a different conversation.
For example, where would abortion-related discussions go, religion or politics? It would depend on what nuance is being discussed.

The conservative side is based off of Christian morality. Which is what made the country great. Denying the religious aspect of Conservatism would be denying the movement itself.

Religion is the foundation on which many people vote. When the left takes abortion out of the political spectrum we can talk.

I always thought a religion board would be great. I’m not why it’s taboo to discuss religion on here

I like reading the threads about religion here. I always learn something.
There are very knowledgeable people who chime in and quote scripture.
And we always get to see the contrarian view from those who scripture warns us of.
Kinda eye opening because I tend to avoid religious discussions from the heathens around me in everyday life.

The progressive movement is a religion

I’ve asked this question too. The old saying is don’t mix politics and religion but they are inextricably intertwined.

Very applicable to politics. If our politicians displayed a lot more humility, ethics, morals, and a lot less (SELF), this Republic wouldn't be in such disarray.

Impossible.
Politics is by definition the will of the people, and this would be asking them to set aside one of their most profound beliefs.

Religion and worldview are closely related topics, and worldviews shape how each person approaches the world, including politics.
While I would love to participate in a religion board, there would be a lot of political discussions that would likely eventually be moved to the religion board due to the close associations. It would be messy to administer.
I think that religion either needs to have its own board or the admins need to consistently let topics with religious content exist. They usually do, but many get anchored or removed altogether.

I’ve requested a Religion Board on this site for years.

I consider it more of a sadistic cult, although I do understand your point.

The trolling would be non-stop. Plus, the admins probably wouldn't want the constant RAing that would occur.

This.
And half the threads on each board would devolve into arguments about which board the topic is appropriate for.

Why is there a requirement to click on every single thread?
That is a bigger issue.
