Religious group organizes to stop Catholic charter school in Oklahoma.

Various Jewish groups (the ACLU, Americans United and the media). have sued to stop Oklahoma from issuing a charter to a Catholic group in Oklahoma. To no one's surprise, the Jewish groups claim a Catholic charter school will inevitably discriminate against gay or transgendered 1st graders. The elementary age children are, of course, the focus of such groups.

Yeah, or they could just choose not to send THEIR kids to that charter school…problem solved. So tired of the ACLU…they need to take the “A” out of the name

Progressivism requires you to lose liberty, not Jews, gays or other "minorities."

We will make them give us light"
Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw

I don't have a problem with it getting blocked. It's PUBLIC FUNDED. The public shouldn't be funding religious schools.

The ACLU was founded as a Communist Party front group.

I don't want mu tax dollars going to religious schools, period. I would absolutely shite a brick if they tries to start a Muslim school with my taxdollars.

Hmmm. Not a simple issue, but I think there is a big difference between allowing a public Catholic school and a voucher/scholarship program that allows public money to be spent at private Catholic schools.

I have no problem with folks objecting to this school; religious schools should not be publicly funded. However, it's WHY they object to this school is why I hope the ACLU, et al, fail in their effort.

But charter schools receive public funding.

I don't care who challenged it, the fact is public money shouldn't be going to religious schools.
I'm not singling out Catholic/Christian schools. If a Catholic school did it, the next thing that comes down the pike is a Muslim school, then a Mormon school then a Satanist school.
frick all of it.

Someone had a nice juxtaposition once where there was an article in Iceland about the country’s first rabbi on the left and then an article on the right showing said rabbi immediately pushing for all kinds of shite not in Iceland’s interests.

Is there a more liberal, woefully uninformed religious group in the World? It seems unlikely

Jews are addicted to egalitarianism. Well, at least the idea of it.
its childish.

It's amazing how being religious was seen as a public asset in days gone by. Now it's seen as a liability.
"Separation of church and state" also used to be seen as a protection of the church from the state. Now it's seen as a protection of the state from the church.
Completely backwards world we live in.

The money should go with the kid. Then school choice would be possible, competition would weed out the globalists and groomers, and the good teachers/schools would get paid what they are worth.
