A leftist creates this situation. Mrs. Sanders responds to it and THAT’S unethical.

Sanders did not respond to the situation. It was a private matter. She was not acting in her governmental capacity. If she was responding to the situation, she would have done so in a private response or on her private twitter account.

She didn't respond to the situation. She decided to publicize the situation to get back at/punish the owner of a private restaurant by responding on her official, government twitter account, which carries the weight of her position.

That is deservedly a cut and dried ethics violation. If you can't see that, or don't agree with that, it doesn't change the fact.

When she was asked for comments about it, could she have given a response to the questions without going on her Official, Government Press Secretary twitter account.
*sigh*

Numerous news reporters were flooding her official phone with text messages asking for confirmation that she was asked to leave along with a comment from her about it. Therefore, she replied to them via her official phone and account.

Your ignorance about the events Friday night and your desperation to save face in this thread are astounding.

Nah. The ethics issue was already put to rest yesterday at her first White House press briefing after the incident when a reporter asked her about if it was an ethics violation. Maybe you should look that up.

It's pretty obvious you're just not very informed.....and, although you got the talking points about it being an ethics violation, you got left off the list when the proper information about why it was not an ethics violation was disseminated yesterday.

Now that's a quality melt! You got her this time!

And that's a quality dumb-arse, brainless response.

Do you think that's clever? You're pitiful.

That's surely a strategy to WINNING.

She was asked to leave the Red Hen because she’s White House Press Secretary, you nitwit.

Are you too dense to see that is not the question. The question is - was she acting in her official position at the restaurant?

It was always my opinion that TCU has high academic requirements.

You have singlehandedly changed my mind tonight.

No, dumbass. She was dining as a private citizen.

Which is all the more reason she shouldn’t have been asked to leave. However, the owner of the restaurant didn’t see a private citizen dining at her establishment. She saw the White House Press Secretary. Therefore, SHE is the one who made it about Mrs. Sanders’ official capacity.

As much as you’d like to, you DON’T get to have it both ways.

You don't deserve an ounce of credibility on this board for lying that you are a moderate voter.

It is the MOST UNMODERATE thing imaginable to kick someone out of your restaurant because you disagree with them politically.

You are a lying, shameless liberal frick.

I'll be surprised if they don't reopen under another name or new ownership

Also, apparently TCU law degrees aren’t worth the vellum they’re printed on.

Do people that you know consider themselves to be alumni/more connected to their undergraduate college (you know the one where they went to all the sporting events and hung out at all the student hang-outs) or their law school?

So what could possibly make you assume that I went to TCU for law school instead of undergrad?

Oh man....I love when you play lawyer. You are wrong, of course. But going through it point by point won't help you...so I'll just enjoy the show.

Any reason why you’re still trying to defend the indefensible? Or are you just blind to the facts? Even your own side has bailed bc they knew it was a losing battle
