Your people are constantly outraged at straight white men. Why don’t act surprised that discrimination against straight white men is happening?

I was in radio back when there were NO female broadcasters. Years later I read a fascinating study. They took a college class of equal male/female students. They had them listen to 2 short audio lectures (no note taking). One lecture by a male voice and one by a female voice.
Then they gave them an exam on the info in the lectures. The scores were MUCH higher when the male voice was lecturing.

Outside of some jobs when I was in high school ages ago I’ve only worked white collar. Every job I have ever applied for, even internships, has a question asking what ethnicity you are. It always says that it won’t be held against you. Sure hoss

Im just glad I entered the workforce a couple years before all this bullshite started up in full force

She focuses on five areas where she opines that progressives have been successful in using empathy as a weapon.

abortion (abortion is healthcare)
gender (trans women are women)
sexuality (love is love)
immigration (no human is illegal)
social justice (black lives matter)

I haven’t read about the pre numbers, but from Floyd to end of 2023 it was a bit over 320k net jobs (factoring in layoffs), and 94% went to people of color

Bloomberg did a in depth article on it

Was there a specific moment when you realized you were racist against white men or was it more of a slow realization?

This really isn't a "fighting back" situation. Companies that actually practice that are going to become less profitable. Some will have a Bud Light Moment and see the foolishness of these practices suddenly, and make changes. Others will simply die out.

GE is probably an example, but it wasn't because of this issue, but it was one of the greatest companies in the world and it deteriorated and broke apart at least in part because of personnel choices that made that company non-competitive in most of its core businesses.

It was the same moment that you realized your failings are your own, and not the fault of women or black people.

In other words, that moment has not happened yet.

Most people who claim they have empathy are really just overly emotional dweebs.

True empathy leads to tough love more than it leads to appeasement.

Her argument is no different than telling a black man in 1950’s Alabama that his failure to secure a specific position was his own and not due to Jim Crow hiring practices.

Maybe he sucked and maybe he was a a superior candidate but we will never know because due to a racist hiring policy merit never came into play.

Any decision made based on racial criteria is by definition racist because it cannot elevate one group without denying another.

The idea that the “empathetic left” is anti racist is hilarious. They’re just good old fashioned Jim Crow racists with purple hair instead of white robes.

It is happening.

People show a graph like your 81 of 100 CEOs as white men to a group of young white women in the HR field and say this is evidence of racist white men running things. Many accept that as gospel truth without thinking any more deeply on the subject and make hiring decisions and personnel recommendations based on this ill informed logic. I have seen it first hand.

Yes, I havent read the book which is what the OP is referring to - the article I posted is Bloomberg on hiring data from george floyd riots through the end of 2023
