You mean the way several Jan 6 Protesters who never entered the Capitol Bldg. that day were done by the Democrats?
I mean as we speak, Democrats are jailing or trying to jail Political opposition.

People that did that on Jan 06, those not even in the Capitol, were shot with rubber bullets, pepper sprayed while also fending themselves from the DNCs brown shirts.

Ive watched as much footage as has been released. I assume we've watched the same footage. Outside the Capitol was fricking shite show. You wanna compare that to someone peacefully protesting in DC like folks often do without incident.

It is incorrect in the fact, you're not as free to do what you want here. If you go against the current regime, and in the process make a name for yourself, they will come after you. We have recent examples. For one, they threw a guy in federal prison for a meme! This is here..not Russia.
I have plenty more examples if you wish.
In Russia, if you have influence and become critical of Putin and the government, look out! But it's the same here now!
Many Western ex pats live in Russia. It's not that bad of a place to live unless you're mentally ill like a transgender or some sort of pervert.

Our press maybe be partisan but they are free to criticize the current regime nightly for hours and hours if they want.
Hunter Biden's laptop revealed Joe Biden's criminal financial ties, but the FBI/CIA convinced our media it was Russian disinfo. For outlets which realized the FBI/CIA was full of shite, the information structure to carry contradictory thier information was undercut, severely limiting reach of their message.
So how much does it actually matter that the press is "free" to say something, if Americans are prevented from hearing/seeing/reading it?
I'd argue there is barely any difference at all.
